Rice and Bread: Aloo parantha/ Mooli parantha
Serves: 4
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 medium-sized potatoes boiled,
peeled and mashed
- 1 onion chopped
- 3-4 green chillies chopped
- 4-6 cloves garlic freshly pounded
- 2 cups wholemeal wheat flour
- Salt to taste
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tablespoon cooking oil
- Green salad on the side and mango
pickle
Method:
- In a mixing bowl, take wheat
flour, potato, onion, garlic, chillies.
- Mix well.
- Add milk and mix.
- Add water for pancake-like
consistency.
- In a flat frying pan, take some
cooking oil and scoop in some batter.
- Wait till one side is partially
done. Then, flip over and press to flatten the bread/ parantha.
- Serve hot with green salad and mango pickle.
*Mooli parantha: Replace mashed potato with grated
mooli. Follow the same procedure.
