Rice and Bread: Aloo parantha/ Mooli parantha



Serves: 4
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
  • 2 medium-sized potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3-4 green chillies chopped
  • 4-6 cloves garlic freshly pounded
  • 2 cups wholemeal wheat flour
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon cooking oil
  • Green salad on the side and mango pickle
Method:

  • In a mixing bowl, take wheat flour, potato, onion, garlic, chillies.
  • Mix well.
  • Add milk and mix.
  • Add water for pancake-like consistency.
  • In a flat frying pan, take some cooking oil and scoop in some batter.
  • Wait till one side is partially done. Then, flip over and press to flatten the bread/ parantha.
  • Serve hot with green salad and mango pickle.
 *Mooli parantha: Replace mashed potato with grated mooli. Follow the same procedure.
