Dessert: Semolina Pudding
Serves: 2-3
Preparation time: 7 minutes
Ingredients:
- 100 gm semolina (also called suji
or rawa)
- 2 mugs milk
- Sugar to taste
- 4 cardamoms
- Seasonal fruits (optional)
Method:
- Dry roast 4 tablespoons semolina
in a frying pan.
- Before they turn a darker shade,
add milk.
- If you want it to be a thinner and
lighter pudding, add some water to the milk.
- Add sugar as required.
- Peel cardamoms and add the seed
and the skin.
- All this while, keep stirring
thoroughly so that the semolina does not form lumps.
- When the pudding starts boiling
and rises up, turn off heat and let it cool.
- You can have it warm or cold, with
or without fruits.
- This is also good as a substitute
for breakfast cereals.
