Curries: Daal
Serves: 3-4
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- One cup masoor daal/ red lentil
- ¼ onion chopped
- Salt to taste
- One pinch turmeric
- 2 green chillies sliced along the length
- 1 teaspoon ghee
Method:
- In a deep pan, wash the daal.
- Put the pan on the stove. Pour
500ml boiled water.
- Add onion, salt, turmeric and
chillies.
- Stir and let it boil.
- Once the daal is cooked, the water
will reduce to a thick soup.
- Add ghee and serve hot.
