Curries: Daal




Serves: 3-4
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
  • One cup masoor daal/ red lentil
  • ¼ onion chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • One pinch turmeric
  • 2 green chillies sliced along the length
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
Method:

  • In a deep pan, wash the daal.
  • Put the pan on the stove. Pour 500ml boiled water.
  • Add onion, salt, turmeric and chillies.
  • Stir and let it boil.
  • Once the daal is cooked, the water will reduce to a thick soup.
  • Add ghee and serve hot.
